Linkriverclan attacks thunderclan and owlfur attacks snowpatch. he claws her throat but she somehow survives. he bites her neck and almost kills her when firewing sees him and knocks him off snowpatch. firewing and owlfur fight and firewing kills owlfur and soon riverclan leaves and they win the battle, nut snowpatch's injuries are so bad she stays in the medicine den for a quarter moon. she survives and soon dawnstar says the deputy has been killed and that snowpatch, who had risked her life and almost died but kept fighting, was to be deputy.

the cats came streaming in, i don't know why. owlfur said to help him fight. i didn't know what was about to happen next. he leaped at me, his claws unseathed. pain shot throe me as he raked my belly. i clawed and scratched but he didn't let go. his claws pierced my throat but i was alright, he scratched my eye and i couldn't see. i figured i'd just die here as he bit down on my neck. "snowpatch" i here firewing shout and the weight lifted off my shoulders and i open my eye to see firewing bite down on owlfur's neck, killing him. i fight more and soon it's over. i lay in the medicine den now. firewing comes to see me every once in a while. i still am alive, and nothing can stop me from being the greatest warrior i can be.
