Either A) your oc is a bounty hunter and had been hunting something called a "naga" for a while. you found out its ears were sensitive to loud noises, like gongs or gun fire. So one day while hunting, your oc fired their gun at a rabbit when you heard a alarmed hiss, wwyd B) your oc was in a forest, for what ever reason, when you heard strange noises. you went to see what was happening when you saw a human/ snake creature, its tail stuck in a bear trap
