June can apparently see spirits and yokai and shit and akane is a bakeneko, a yokai thats a cat, that usually has its tail split (kinda like an espeons?? Best way to explain it) he has a bandage because thats where the split used to be but the other tail thing was damaged. Bakeneko can also become human so,,,, uh yeah those are the main characters so far
