Well, I’m not trying to answer for her, but if a boy has a crush on a girl at 12, no one asks “aren’t you a little young to know you’re straight?” People can have crushes as young as kindergarten, and the gender of those crushes determines how you label your sexuality. I knew I liked girls in 3rd grade, because that was when I started having crushes. Hope this helped!
