(tw for suicide) I based his story on the song Mr Loverman by Ricky Montgomery Marcos, He/him, trans, probably college age. he was pretty suicidal, drowning in self hatred and internalized/self-directed homophobia and transphobia, until he met her. She made things better.... until she was found dead. hung herself. this devastated marcos. He got really depressed, started drinking and smoking more often, in hopes to end his life quicker. he finally gave up, and found a tall building. he went there multiple times, but each time, was stopped by his twin sister, brie. She talked him out of it each time, but he kept coming back. he decided he wouldnt jump. he was scared of the height anyways.

one day, brie's out of town. Marcos gets sad, not drunk, and finds a long, golden (not actually gold) chain that he had when he was younger. he thought it would be just long enough to hold a human being off the ground from the roof. finding a sturdy ceiling attachment, he secured the chain to his neck and the roof. he closed his eyes. and he stepped off. it hurt at first. but what had he expected? he closed his eyes to squeeze out the tears. hed go to be with her, and hed go like her. then he heard her voice. His eyes shot open. what was he doing?? his eyes felt like they were going to explode. the blood rushed to his face. he struggled, to the point where he dug his fingernails into his neck. Eventually, he got out. He lived. Because all he could think of was her.

Months later, brie introduces him to a friend called Tony. Tonys in a gang of some sort, so marcos is skeptical at first, but later, they become good friends. It's not long until marcos starts to see /her/ in tony. In tonys eyes, his walk, his laugh.... And marcos gets a crush on him Soon, its the 6th month "anniversary" since she was found dead. Naturally, marcos decided to get blackout drunk. Tony runs into him at the bar, and they get drunk together. Eventually, both of them are too drunk to drive home, so a taxi takes them to tonys place. Before they know it, theyre kissing, and then they [REDACTED] When they wake up, theyre horrified. Marcos doesnt remember anything, tony says that he doesnt either, and after putting on some clothes (and using the bathroom) marcos leaves as quickly as he can. The two go a few weeks without talking, and marcos is obviously miserable. He can't stop touching his neck, feeling and looking at thr marks tony gave him. he gets worse and worse, to the point where brie cant ev

-even talk to him for fear of getting yelled at. One day, when marcos has decided hes had enough, someone knocks on his door. Its Tony. Marcos breaks down crying. Hes here. Really here. If only hed known how much marcos had thought about him. Because all he could think of was him.
