Rosewater was a Starclan cat, a former rogue who had been accepted into CarveClan. Barkpaw was a recently apprenticed kit, one of the more scrawny ones. When he saw Rosewater, gently and softly asking him to follow her, he couldn't refuse. None of his kin liked him, and neither did the other apprentices.
