"Mister Berrywood?" My ears twitch as I hear a familiar young voice. I turn to see the rounded figure of one of my students, Copper, a young minotaur with big dreams. Her eyes were wide and her eyebrows were furrowed, something seemed to be bothering her. "Yes Copper?" I respond gently, kneeling down and pushing my large circular glasses up my muzzle. "What's with the weird marks on your neck?" Her voice was full of concern mingling with curiosity. I hesitated, my ears flattening against my head as my tail nervously flicked. Was little Copper too young to hear the story? Would she.. want to hear the story? "You're sure you want to know?"

She nods vigorously, sending her soft, floppy ears into almost an up and down dance. It was adorable I'll admit. "..Alright. Sit down, it's not a very pleasant story" I tell her, feeling my heart sink yet pound like a migraine. Copper nods respectively, sitting down and stumbling to get her hunches in a comfortable position. "This was three years ago now. I don't remember quite how or why it happened but I had swallowed some Black Herb." Copper's eyes widen in fear and recognition of the name. She slowly nods as I tell her what I remember. I watch her horrified reaction as I tell her how my vision blurred and I could feel my throat trying to close. Not to mention the burning feeling in my throat. I described how I felt worse than death and didn't know if I'd survive.

"And then I passed out. Colder than a hogmonkey's gaze. Next thing I know I'm in a doctor's treatment bed and alive" Coppers eyes glimmer in wonder. She suddenly leaps up and barrels herself into hugging me. I let a startled gasp, caught completely off guard but wrap my arms around the young minotaur. "I'm going to be a doctor and I'm gonna find an antidote to Black Herb poisoning.. and you made me realize I wanna do that mister Berrywood!" She exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear as she clung to me. "I do certainly wish you luck in this ambition Copper" -End-
