I think I've improved since I drew this 8 months ago. I see a lot of differences from the eyes to the way I draw the hair and stuff. I was going for a more realistic look back then and I never got it right until I realized that I was better off doing a more cartoon look. This style really speaks to me on a personal level with finding who I am and what I want to be. I love doing big, shiny, galaxy-like eyes. It makes me feel open. That sounds weird but it's pretty much true. Anyways, I wanted to redraw Kayla because I'm continuing the series she belongs in. I wanted to draw her and color her in since this is digital and all and I write the story in a notebook I kind of want a visual of what she looks like in color. To be honest, I think I chose the colors pretty well. But enough rambling, I hope you like this redraw! Could I have done better?
