I'm thinking of making his actual name Sasha
It's a gender-netural name in Russia, which is. What he is (born and raised in russia[moscow?? I think? I dont remember] for the first like 13-14 yrs of his life)
It's a shorted version of Alexander and Alexandra
And I'm thinkin that when he moved to america, him and his family all got. 'Different'names like in most cases
So he went from Sasha to Dusty, probably choosing his name cuz he liked the way it sounded and it was somewhat easy for him to say

His dad is also named Aleksander, so he couldve very well been named after his dad in this scenario
