Mathew steps back respectfully. “You uh. Where kinda asleep in the middle of the street- next to a wall-“

Mathew exhales slowly. “I see..”

Mathew shakes his head. “What’s that look for..?”

Mathew kneels down and helps him up. “Mathew Garret. And you are?”

“Kega?” Mathew helps steady him. “Nice name.” He’s being quite blunt about all this

Mathew laughs breathily when he hits the ground. “Well t-then.”

Mathew hesitates then follows. “Hey.”

“I..” Mathew shakes himself. “I’ll walk with you. It’s not quite... safe... out here at these hours..”

“I-I-“ Mathew shakes his head then walks a little quickly to catch up. “Well.. just.. lead the way I guess?”

Mathew steps inside and closes the door behind him and walks over and makes sure Kega’s comfortable before turning to leave.

Mathew looks back and exhales slowly then carefully sets a neatly folded piece of paper on any nearby surface and leaves the house.

Mathew looks surprised and looks up. “Oh! Kega. Hi.” (No I didn’t XD)

“I-“ Mathew looks slightly torn then laughs softly. “No. I’ve just heard someone call you that..” (You’ll see- No one’ll get hurt- he’s just- really got some uh, self confidence issues and other- problems.)

(Aaaaaah- I’m sorry-) Mathew gives him a small smile. “Well. Uh.. have a good day..” he waves slightly and starts walking away, shoving his hands into his jacket pockets

Mathew shakes his head. “Mmkay then. Guns are pretty lame. But you do you.” Then he lets the spear go and puts his hands in his pockets. And the spears simply floating (Best magic murder boi.)

Mathew just stands there and waits-

Mathews finger twitches and the spear shoots forwards and impales the closest person- And Mathew seems very unfazed by the blood-

Mathew looks up at Kega and flash of an odd emotion crosses his face then he walks over to Kega, and lets the spear uh- take care of everyone else-

Mathew stops, seemingly heartbroken, he shakes his head and turns and starts walking away, the spear vanishing. (Aww- and now Mathew feels horrible-)

Mathew tenses. “Going. Leaving? Running..?” He murmurs. “I’ve messed this up. So why stay hm? I don’t want to scare you.. I don’t want to hurt you..”

Mathew looks over at the bush. “Hm..?”

Mathew tilts his head and stares silently, feeling kinda- empty- still

Mathew jerks out of his thoughts and looks over, then he’s on his feet in an instant and pushes Kega onto a chair, kneels and carefully grabs a pair of tweezers from god knows where(his pocket-?) and carefully parts the skin to get the bullet out of his legs with the tweezers, oddly concentrated. ((And now he’s gone full overprotective boyfriend unit mode XD)

((Also- Mathew is wearing a shirt XD)) Mathew nods then grabs some bandages and wraps the injury tightly, then stands up and nods, the bloody bullet on the ground. “There.”

Mathew shakes his head and pushes him back into the seat and starts putting the groceries away himself.

“Hush.” Mathew states bluntly.

Mathew finishes then walks over to Kega. “You gotta take it easy if you want it to heal right..” ((Cause he’s worried.))

“I don’t care if you’ve had worse. I’ve had worse too. But I’d prefer it heal right.”

Mathew sighs. “Alright alright. You can move. But take it easy okay..?” It’s obvious how much Mathew actually cares about him-

Mathew winces slightly and walks upstairs and helps him up and helps him walk to his room. Silent. ((Awww Mathew feels bad now-))

Mathew smiles faintly, then reaches under the bed, pats his head then heads downstairs. “Just.. call if you need me.”

Mathew stays where he is, feeling horrible, then he stands up, stumbles and leaves the house. ((Hhdhfhhebrsb it’s taking every once of self control not to start sobbing cause I know what’s gonna happen now-))

Mathew steps into the room and stares. “No... no... please don’t do this.. I.. I can’t loose another.. not now.. Kega.. I’ll do anything.. please... I’m sorry..”

“I won’t.. I’ll stay okay..?” Mathew walks over and sits next to him. “K-Kega... I’m so sorry..”

Mathews shoulders sagged slightly and he walks over. “Hey. I’m sorry.. I’m really really sorry..” he sits next to him and pulls him into a tight hug.

Mathew gives him a slightly forced, but also.. very real smile.

Mathew nods. “I’ll always be here.. I’m not going anywhere. I promise.” He gently gives Kega a kiss on the cheek.

Mathew chuckles. “Alright. Wanna just.. take a little nap-?” ((Stop reading my mind I keep my plans there.)

Mathew smiles and then leans against Kega and closes his eyes, falling into a deep troubled sleep- (AH)
