Then, you see that there's another person next to him, looking equally pissed off. You/your OC go over to investigate.

Coralie's hand went to the shell on her necklace as she quietly moved closer to see what they were doing.
Jules: "You NEVER listen!!"
Jason: "I Never listen? The hell do you mean?"
Jules: "I always tell you EXACTLY where I'm going whenever I go out of town for work and you NEVER listen to me!"
Jason: He huffed and crossed his arms "Yeah, that's why I expected you to be at work and not on a date with someone ELSE."
She bit her lip, thinking. "Maybe it was a platonic kiss...? Those are a thing, right?"
She looked at Jules. "So it was a real kiss? You actually cheated on him?"
"That isn't right, Jules. If you didn't like him anymore, you should have told him instead of cheating."
"Still, cheating isn't right. Whether you still like him or not. If I had a boyfriend and he cheated on me, I wouldn't be happy. And you probably wouldn't be if Jason cheated on you either." She looked at Jason. "Not saying you will or ever have."
She hugged her. "You might be able to fix it with him...? He might not want to date you anymore, but maybe you guys could still be friends."

"Alright." Coralie left the alley and headed towards the park, figuring Jason would be there.
She jumped. "I mean... She said she still likes you. Sometimes people can like more than one person. That's a thing, right?"
She stared at the ground. "A-alright... I'm sorry, I just want to help..."
She pulled her knees to her chest. "Would you both still be able to be friends...?"
"Understandable..." She looked at his phone. "What are you listening to?"
She put the earbud in and listened. Her face lit up as she listened. "I like it!"

"I'm sorry she cheated on you. Could you both possibly make up and at least not be enemies?"

"Okay. As long as you both aren't enemies."
She nodded. "That must be hard... What's it even like to be dating someone?"
She shrugged. "I've never dated anyone. Or had a crush. You guys seemed happy until the whole... Incident today, and I was wondering what it felt like. To be happy and in love."

She smiled at him. "Maybe someday."
"Do you have any qualifications I guess in a girl or guy that you'd want them to have?"
"I'd only want someone to like me for me." She watched a bird in a tree.
"Okie." She returned her attention to the bird.

Coralie scooted a little bit closer to Jason and laid her head on his shoulder.

She hugged his arm, trying to get a hold on her blooshing.
She stared at the ground. "Jules, we are not dating, I swear. I'm not interested in dating anyone... We're just friends. Nothing more."
She pulled her knees up to her chest again. "Take me back to the ocean," she mumbled.
"O-okay..." She didn't believe him whatsoever, but decided to let it go.
She squeaked. "W-why are you hug-?" She saw the tear. "You're crying... I did do something..."
She sat up. "Mother of Neptune I just had the weirdest dream... Y-you said you loved me and I died internally!"
She was wheezing. "You're lying you don't like me you're lying you're lying you don't."
She blushed a dark red. "Y-you actually l-like me...? W-what about Jules... Isn't it t-too soon?"
"I... I t-think I like y-you too... I-I've never l-liked someone before s-so I don't know h-how it feels..."

The next day, Coralie grabbed her phone and texted Jason. "Hey, are we still hanging out today?"
"I was wondering if we could go down to the beach? I want to show you something..."

Coralie sat down beside him, wearing a burgundy TANKINI BECAUSE WE DO NOT SHOW THAT MUCH SKIN HERE.
She stood up. "Don't freak out about what I'm gonna show you... Okay?"
She took a deep breath and dove into the ocean. She was under the water for about three minutes until she popped back up.
She went back under the water and jumped out like a dolphin, her mermaid tail visible.
She grinned and hugged him back. "This is the reason I always wear my necklace."
She blushed. "Thanks... I'm barely ever in my mermaid form. I get shy around people..."
"The reason I don't live in the ocean anymore is because where I live got attacked and I escaped... But I think the attackers are still looking for me..."
(Alright! I'm gonna have to go in a little while anyway.)
She nodded and transformed into her human form, then followed him.
