Hey yes I totally get you. And i might have an answer to your question to why people choose this kind of humor. I myself used to use shock humor all the time until Id lose all my friends. This is because I was addicted to negative attention. And I think that most people using shock humor want exactly that. I also believe youre talking facts when you said that these people lack social skills because so did I at that time. They dont know what other possibilities there are to form a proper joke or maybe they do but dont know how to word it perfectly (which is basically what a lack of social skills is). And this doesnt mean that theire taste in humor (so the jokes theure receiving) is bad(like you said) Its just a completely self centered thing to make themselve appear more interesting in a way. I apologize for this being such a long text. Also dont get too upset over people doing this since you can be sure they simply want attention and recognition. A very human thing.
