Akari Blake Backstory: “ 4-5-1998 “ The day Akari was born. Akari had a loving mother and father who stuck by each other's sides until the end of time. But I suppose the end wasn’t too far away for them. Akari’s father (We will refer to him as Mr. Blake for now) was an astronomer, archaeologist, and a scientist. Mrs. Blake worked as a lawyer. When Mrs. Blake got pregnant with Akari she knew Mr. Blake wouldn’t be happy because he thought that if they had a child something would happen. Unfortunately something did happen. The time Akari was born into the world his father had lost his jobs and had to clutch money off of Akari’s mother. Akari and Mr. Blake would stay home while his mother worked. This is when his dad started drinking since he had lost all hope in his life.

By time Akari was 4 his mother died in a car accident because someone slammed their car into hers causing it to flip over. The man who did it didn’t get away because someone behind his car got his licence plate as he drove off. Akari thought that his mom was just on a regular business trip and would be back soon but realized what really happened by the age of 10. By this age Mr. Blake started going from drinking to taking drugs and abusing Akari. One day Mr. Blake thought that if he could find something or make something impossible come to reality his boss would let him back.

Mr. Blake would start injecting random shots into Akari to make his own way of making regenerative cells. He would research things all night and all day while Akari was at school. They were able to live off of the money from Mrs. Blake for quite a while. Each day Akari got a shot and started to act unusual at school and the teachers knew something was wrong with him. They called Mr. Blake several times but he never answered. Akari lost all his friends and the purpose of his life.

Mr. Blake told Akari that it was something he had to take, like medicine. One day Mr. Blake felt like he finally found the right serum. When he was giving the shot to Akari the police broke down the door and took Mr. Blake away as he screamed in joy that he finally did it. Mr. Blake was sentenced to jail for 26 years in prison. Akari never knew what the shots were really for. He was sent to a hospital to see if he was ok at first then an orphanage because his grandparents were dead and the others from Mr. Blakes side of the family thought Akari would be just as nuts as his father so they didn’t take him in and soon later had passed away anyway.

Akari didn’t make any friends there at the orphanage. He was usually alone. When Akari was put up for adoption and they had found a family for him he was scared but happy at the same time. He knew he wouldn't be lonely anymore since he joined this family. It was a couple, they weren’t able to have a child so they didn’t give up and decided to adopt one. When Akari was adopted he wasn't open at the time to the couple but they knew they would just have to let the boy take his time to get used to them, and which he did. When he came home from school he would tell them all about his new friends and then go clean the house for them and the backyard. Akari loved these people to death. One day at his school a shooting took place and he was using the bathroom and didn't know what was happening.

When he came out the bathroom all he saw were empty halls and didn’t know what had happened. He was only 12 at the time and this was the beginning of the school year when this happened. Akari was scared and worried as he walked through the halls with his shoes hitting the floors. He heard a voice from behind him then a loud bang. He felt a sharp pain through his chest and fell to the floor. The man behind him ran off somewhere else along the building. The man had stood in front of a classroom door with a small window that you wouldn’t be able to see through from the outside. A teacher had looked out once she heard the man's steps leave in a different direction away from her classroom door.

She looked out the window peak of the door and saw Akari laying there in shock not knowing what happened. She told two boys in her class to come help her with something. She opened up the door silently then had the two boys go out there and keep Akari from leaving a blood trail on the floor into her room so the man wouldn't know where the body went off if anyone else was in the building. Akari, still widely surprised by what had just happened, didn't know what to say or even do at this moment. Luckily the police had arrived a few minutes later. When the police arrived the teacher told the two boys to keep Akari from bleeding out with their jackets. She ran to the police and an ambulance soon arrived for Akari.

The man was later found in the basement of the school which was like a small janitors closet where they kept extra supplies. Akari’s foster parents were notified of the incident. The ambulance wasn’t able to make it to the hospital fast enough since a traffic jam caught place. Once they got there Akari was rushed to the emergency room and his foster parents were relieved to see him still alive after the bullet to his chest doing major damage almost hitting his heart. It only took him 2 days to recover and by this the doctors were confused, he didn’t hurt when he stood or jumped around, they thought that he would feel a somewhat sting in his chest still. He went home fine but did question why he only felt hurt for a day, the doctors said it was unusual.

He wanted to test this to his limit- once he was home he pretended to go to school as his foster parents went to work. He retreated back to his house and grabbed a nail. He took a hammer and nailed the nail through his arm. He felt the pain shock through his body and regretted the decision he had made. He covered it with some bandages and kept it hidden away from his parents visions. A few days passed on and he always looked back at his arm every now and then each day, 5 days he couldn't see blood or the screw. Another day he skipped school and found his way back to his old house which wasnt to far away from where he lived. He scavenged through multiple drawers and cabinets.

He found a USB drive and hooked it up to his computer at home. It explained so much to him, why his father gave him those shots, why he was regenerating his body without it taking years to recover. He thought his father was a scumbag but now thanks his father. He wonders if any of the other shots had had effects on him and gave him something else useful. When Akri turned 16 on his birthday his father gave him a sword, he said “This is something that my parents and their parents before them have passed down, take good care of this and you will be rewarded future wise as you carry on the legacy of this sword.” Akari took the sword and thanked his dad. The couple were very proud of how he had grown over the years they knew Akari would be successful in life.

Akari would train with the sword everyday. He accidentally cut the middle way between his shoulder and neck. He knew he would be fine so he didn’t pay much attention to it. A couple of days later it did not heal yet it was just there like a scar. It's just been there. By the time he was 17 (current age) he learned that only limbs that have been torn will regenerate, if it’s something that scratches or cuts him it will be permanently on his body.

I don't write backstories for other characters because I suck at making them so this is most likely the first and last you will ever see me write ever again on this website

Uh lets see He is sensitive about talking about the topic of his real dad and what had happened to his mom. He is usually quiet and shy when he is surrounded by a lot of people He takes fighting seriously He doesn't fight only with his sword but he will fight hand on hand combat / knows mixed martial arts
