Link Magnolia was getting tired of having his life saved by his brother in law.
He didn’t exactly remember how the situation had come to be, but the taller man was silently guiding him through the dimly lit autumn forest, the moon fading away in the sky, which was murky with greys and purples as the sun began to slowly enter the scene to brighten things up a bit.
Whatever the case, he’d gotten bitten by a rare specimen: a two headed river serpent, one of her knife sized, venom glazed fangs having barely grazed the side of his face.

They finally got to the infirmary, as his vision got worse and he stumbled a bit.
And that was when he blacked out.
