Sooooo, I have a family member- and let's just say.. they aren't the NICEST I love them a lot, but they're older so they don't understand. But anyways, they came over to my house a lil over a month ago and it was June (aka pride month) so obviously most adds had lgbtq+ couples or pride flags. Well, they started saying- "Yknow, I rlly hate all these adds about they gays and stuff." I looked at them and said, "Hm..? Why?" "Do you know what these people want?" They replied, "U-Uh.. what?" I said, "They want EVERYONE to be just like them!" They answered, I was uncomfortable and replied with, "I-I don't think that's what they want.." Then they gave me a look as if I was stupid and said- "Yes, it is. They want to trick young people like you into thinking you're like them." At this point, I was not in the mood to argue. Manly because this was and adult, and because they'd question why I was being so supportive or the community. Though, if this was someone younger than 18 I would've gone off on them, b

But this was a different situation, so I just said- "Okay then." I thought that was the end of it until a few weeks ago when we were out eating, like usual, I was doing my own thing zoning in and out to what the other adults were talking about. Until I heard them say- "Yknow, I get heterosexual, and I get homosexual, but I don't get Bisexual. I mean, chose one!" Now, they don't know that there's more than three sexualties, so anyways.. I all of a sudden said without thinking- "what!? How?" And I'd said it in such a way that they knew I was thinking they were being dumb. They glared at me for a second before continuing, and I kid you NOT. This person said- "I mean, if you like both genders, being bisexual is just a choice at this point." It took all my strength not to speak up.

I told my grandfather I wanted to leave shortly after and we left.
