Once again back from the grave, Vile continues his hunt to destroy X and Zero, with all the rage of a wildfire. After a humiliating defeat in the abandoned factory during Mega Man X3, Vile was given a new body by a strange reploid, whose only request for him is that he brings him Zero, but not necessarily in one piece! Vile's new body comes packed with a mace that replaces his right arm, a more powerful shoulder cannon, and hidden cannons on the golden spikes on his knees, and a shoulder blade, which can get energised whenever he wants.
