(Meadowclan Camp) Flowerstar ordered Danglingtail, Windrunner, and Lionpaw to go on a patrol around the border. They all went in the woods, stepping silently through the soft flowers. Windrunner stopped, "Do you guys smell that?.." Lionpaw answered, "I think I smell it..? Does it smell like another cat? Wait, I think there is more cats.. no, just one.." "We should go tell Flowerstar about this..", Danglingtail said. Lionpaw agreed, "Yeah, I think we should too..." Danglingtail said hurringly, "Well then, lets go!!.." They all went back to their own camp and walked into their leaders den. "Did you find anything, like a cat or a new animal?.." Flowerstar said, curiously. Windrunner answered, "We didn't find anything, but we smelt some sort of cat.."

(Frostclan Camp) The cats in Frostclan were starving. They hadn't found anything to eat, since bare leaf had started. Firetail said worriedly, "If we don't find anything to eat, we won't be as strong as the other clans!!" The other cats talked about how they had barely any food. Then, Winterstar climbed up her rock and shouted, "Let all cats old enough to kill their own enemies gather here!" The warriors, and apprentices gathered around the rock and the elders and queens popped out of their dens. Winterstar announced, "We have been low on food so we should be hunting more often. I know it is tough during leaf bare but we are strong enough to survive it. The meeting is over."

(Mossclan Camp) Morningstar was watching her cats happily. The deputy, Robinspot was telling Pineclaw, Blazefire, Silentbreeze, and Meadowpaw to go on a patrol. Blazefire said immediately, "I will lead." They all went out into the forest and walked around. Then, they smelt rogue cats. Meadowpaw stuttered nervously, "Is th-that th-the sm-smell of rogue c-cats!?" Pineclaw said to her strict, "Stop being scared and act like a warrior-" A muscular black and white cat with amber eyes pounced on Pineclaw, he laughed and scratched him. Pine claw yowled, and the clan heard it. Then, some other cats came out of the bushes and ran out. A brown tabby pounced on Blazefire and a dark grey battle-scarred cat pounced on Meadowpaw, Meadowpaw struggled to get up, but Blazefire pushed the brown tabby off of him and saw the dark grey cat on Meadowpaw.
