Pg 11 chapter 4 The Leader's death _______________ a few days later, There were 2 bears on the hunt for the pack. The bears were hard to see, so they had a better chance to kill the leader. Ryan lied down next to Kaea as Kaea was sleeping and still recovering from her wound. The leader went out to go drink water, while the Bears followed the leader. The Leader drank water from the river, then the bears ran and attacked the Leader. The leader flinched then jumped up landing on the bear, biting from its back. The other bear came in the fight scarring the leader from the back of his head. The leader yelped loudly, as the leader kept getting attack. The leader called for help. Kaea woke up from the call and Ryan heard the call, they both ran to the leader. The leader was bleeding badly. Kaea and Ryan attacked the bears, making them leave. Pg 12 chapter 4 _______________ ' ' R-Ryan...I'm sorry but... my time has come...you must be the new leader of the pack... ' ' The leader said weakly. ' ' what?! No! Leader please! Don't leave me! I'm not ready yet! ' ' Ryan cried out. ' ' Yes...you are..I've taught you everything... ' ' The leader said, touching Ryan's paw. ' ' take care everyone Ryan...Goodbye... ' ' The leader said, before he died. ' ' Leader? LEADER?! NO!! ' ' Ryan said, Crying. ' ' Leader please!! Don't leave me... ' '. Kaea Walked to Ryan putting her head on Ryan's Chin. ' ' I'll go tell everyone. ' ' Kaea said, running back to the base. Kaea got on the leader rock. ' ' may I get everyone's attention! Our lead has died from a very violent attack! Two Bear were attacking the leader! Ryan is with the leader! May we all howl for our leader! ' '. Everyone howled for the leader. Kaea got off the rock and ran back to Ryan. Pg 13 chapter 4 _______________ Ryan was very sad he's wouldn't stop tearing up. ' ' Let's bury the body... ' ' Ryan said sadly. After a few hours when the body was buried, Ryan slept at the base. Kaea walked to Ryan and slept next to him. The next day, Ryan woke up, walking away. Ryan sat down, by a cliff looking at the clouds, sadly. [ end of chapter 4 ]
