Linki am /not/ telling you that you must shade this way. this is just a guide to how i do it and you're welcome to shade however you'd like.

Idnfjdif i can't tell if it's because I've been using them soo much to the point it's now a habit
I'm pretty sure i started using different colors to shade like 2 years ago
So now its a habit of mine using them to shade
*me just taking a low opacity saturated color and spamming it all over the drawing until it looks coherent
