Shading with a darker version of a colour is fine,but it can take a while,so i recommend getting a dark colour like blue or purple and turn down the opacity and use that.with the opacity turned down,the shading can look different on another colour,giving a faster result then giving a darker colour for each shadow.

in this example the only colour i used for shading (blush not included) was purple.
