Spade sat at the bar, taking his 5th shot of vodka. He winced as the bitter taste stung his throat.

Spade gestured to the (whatever their called my brain isn’t working) to keep the shots coming. (Lmao)

Spade continued taking shots like they were glasses of water. (Lol thanks)

Spade leaned back in his chair, sighing. He flipped the shot glass down, signaling he was done.

Spade payed for his drinks and slid out of the chair, and walked towards the exit before a man stood up and bumped into him.

The man turned around and glared at Spade. “watch where you’re going, kid.” Spade crossed his arms. “shut the **** up man.” The man growled under his breath and shoved Spade.

Spade smiled, shoving the man back. “you wanna fight?” The man stumbled back, catching himself on a table. He lunged at Spade, punching him in the stomach.

Spade skidded back, almost falling over. He stumbled back to his feet, and punched the man in his face, hitting the center of his nose.

The man fell onto the ground, and Spade took the opportunity to race out the door, jogging down the street, but stumbling on his way.

Spade stopped, leaning against a wall, and slid down it to the ground. He rubbed his face with his hand, groaning.

Spade glanced over at Ace, cocking an eyebrow curiously.

Spade continued looking at Ace, kind of beginning to stare off into space, but happened to be looking at Ace while doing so.

Spade realized he was staring and snapped his eyes away, turning red in embarrassment.

Spade rubbed his wrists nervously, looking around.

Spade used the wall to stand up, and reached into his pocket for his pack of cigarettes and his lighter, which he eventually found and produced from his pocket. He took a cigarette out of the pack and lit it, sliding the lighter and pack back into his jacket pocket.

Spade took a long drag from the cigarette, blowing the smoke out of his nose.

Spade nodded. “that’s kinda what I’m hoping for.”

Spade took another drag before answering. “why not? It’s not like there’s really any reason to be alive for me now.”

Spade scoffed. “Who are you to say no?”

Spade flinched at the sudden exclamation. “I’m sure that’s not true.”

Spade widened his eyes for a second, but quickly put his emotionless mask back on. “At least you have a dad who wants you.” He muttered.

Spade looked at Ace for a minute. “Has he ever tried to?” He rubbed a scar on his shoulder, which was covered by his shirt instinctively.

Spade looked at the scar, and frowned. “That’s sucks...” he sounded genuine.

Spade shrugged. “I guess.” He twiddled his fingers.

Spade followed his lead, sitting across from him.

Spade widened his eyes, and took the syringe. “What the **** is this?” He demanded.

Spade furrowed his eyebrows. “Not so fast. This isn’t happening. You take away my cigarette, I take away whatever that is.” He reaches out for the syringe again.

Spade looked around for it. “yes.”

Spade reaches out for the syringe and grips it tightly, yanking it away from Ace.

Spade chucked the syringe into the street. “Uh- sorry. Sorry...” he looked around for something he could use as a bandage.

Spade avoided looking at Ace, looking at his hands instead.

Spade looked back at Ace. “Wh- what? No.”

Spade clears his throat, trying to keep eye contact. “I- I really don’t know...”

Spade mumbles a few incoherent words, as his brain can’t focus on anything but Ace.

Spade lets out a shaky breath. “I- Uh- nothing-...”

Spade gulps, nodding.

Spade kisses him back, moving closer to him.

Spade nods. “I- yeah.” He breathes out.

Spade bites his lip, still trying to avoid looking at Ace’s chest.

Spade shakes his head. “No- no I- don’t want to...” he pulled out his cigarettes and lighter again.

Spade scoffs and grabs them back from him. “ It’s my life.”

Spade blushes but still reaches out for them. “Look please! Please I need them.”

Spade frowned. “I just do, okay?! I need them! I need them!”

Spade looks down. “I just- they help me... they help me with the pain... please... I need them.”

Spade rested his forehead on Ace’s shoulder. “ A... a lot..”

Spade shakes his head. “I’ll never get away from it and we both know it. Our past is always gonna be there watching.”

Spade shook his head. “No of course you’re enough... you’ll always be enough.. I just- please can I have them back?”

Spade sighs, and looks away. "I don't want to say why I need them... I just do. They make me feel nice..."

Spade sighs again. "Just give them back! They're not yours, they're mine! I don't need help, I'm fine!"

Spade grabs them tightly, but then glances at Ace.

Spade stands up, shaking. He lights a cigarette and takes a long drag from it. "**** I've ruined it all already. Of course I did. Of course." He mutters angrily to himself, and sadly.

Spade hugs Ace back, as the cigarette digs into his hand and burns him. He doesn't really care.

Spade hugs Ace back, breathing in and out sharply.

"Don't. You're perfect."

Spade pulls away so he can look at Ace. "You're beyond perfect." He winced as he realized the cigarette was burning him but he just held onto it tighter.

Spade looked at Ace. "Let me be perfect with you."

Spade dropped the cigarette to the ground, smiling at the pain in his hand.

Spade looks around nervously, before slipping something from his pocket. "We'll be perfect together."

Spade takes it out of the small tube, and lights it. "A blunt. Marijuana." He said as if it were the simplest thing he'd ever said. He stuck it into his mouth and took a deep breath, visibly relaxing.

"Want some?" He took another hit from it, sighing. "Makes me feel so nice. Warm and fuzzy. Sorry, I'm a bit ****ed up if you haven't noticed."

Spade nodded. "Yep. But even if I'm yours, I'm still pretty ****ed up."

Spade half smiles. "Yes." He took another hit from the blunt, leaning his head back against the wall.

Spade sighs. "Okay okay... I'm adorable... And ****ed up."

Spade blows some smoke from his nose. "I am."

"Good. Cause I'm right." He took a long drag from the blunt then threw it into the street. "Ah, achohol and drugs. Perfect mix."

Spade opens his mouth but almost no words come out. "You- you wh-what."

"Y-you- you love me...?" He sounded like he didn't believe it.

"I- I love you too..."

Spade blinked a couple of times as he saw someone in the street, watching and waiting. (Btw it's a hallucination, not real so Ace can't see anything.)

Spade blinks again, trying to convince himself that no body is there. The guy starts walking closer, smiling, holding a whip.

Spade blinks and looks at Ace. "Ye-yes." He clears his throat, ignoring the fact that the man is approaching them.

Spade managed a small smile, but then looked up when he noticed the man was almost to them. "N-no... G-get awa-away.."

Spade forces his gaze back down to Ace. "What? Oh, nothing. No, nothing is wrong. Everything's fine." He darts his eyes back to the man who's getting even closer.

Spade looks back down at Ace.

Spade nods. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be? Do I look not fine? Because I feel fine."

Spade nodded. "Yeah. I saw someone walk by but that-that's about it." He ignored the man who was now only a couple of feet away.

Spade fakes a smile. "H-hey... Do you want to go somewhere else...?"

Spade nodded. "Great. Now the question is where?"

Spade blushed as well, covering his mouth with his free hand. "Want to go to my place."

Spade nodded. "Lucky for us, it's just down the block." Spade started walking, trying to get away from the man as fast as he possibly could.

Spade turned to look behind him, and then looked in front of him and the man pushed him back. Spade stumbled back, wide eyed.

Spade takes a deep breath, trying to tell himself it's not real. The man pushes him back again, and he stumbles back even more.

Spade turns around. "Shit shit shit! Ace?!" He needs over towards him.

Spade carefully picks him up, making sure to hold his head. "It's okay... You're okay...."

Spade gives Ace's hand a small squeeze and starts speed walking to his apartment. "Don't worry. You'll be okay!"

Spade reached the front of his apartment. "Yes- yes baby? What do you need..?"

Spade ran towards the door. "You uh- you fell... Tripped over- I don't- don't know..."

Spade fumbled with his keys before finally unlocking the door and rushing inside. "What is it baby?"

Spade smiles painfully. "You're gonna be okay..."

Spade sets him down on the bed. "I love you too. But you're going to be okay."

"It's good that you know... It's really good that you know... Because it's true!" Spade was stumbling around the apartment, looking for so,etching useful.

Spade shook his head. "I'm sure you'll need something... Like bandages! Or Ibuprofen!"

Spade jumps, flinching. "Not until I'm one hundred percent sure you're okay!" He ran into the kitchen and started opening and closing cabinet doors.

"I don't believe you! I need to make sure you're okay!"
