Raze is Eggman’s right-hand man in my universe. He came to Eggman to offer his services as an elite soldier and has served him well. He is working in exchange for a cure to his rare skin disease, which causes hard spikes to grow on him. So far it has only spread to his face and shoulder, but it could spread to his whole body if he can’t cure it. He does feel some remorse over his villainous deeds.
He is often tired and irritable because his current medicine (which only slows the spread) saps his energy. When he needs to be at peak performance, he must run the risk of letting his disease spread to eventually get the cure that he’s been promised. However, at his heart Raze is a caring boy and he likes to nurture things, be it plants, pets, or kids who Eggman has kidnapped. He’s just a teenager who is terrified of dying and desperate. Perhaps in more fortunate times (not during the apocalypse) he could have been a good man.
