Linkthere was a lab and nearby there was an extremly toxic spill near it. they had to control the spill somehow, so they created multiple experements that protected and cleaned up the humans mistake of the spill

Linkthe humans created multiple experements but never tested them for the spill, so they created tons to ensure that atleast one will protect humans from the spill or clean the spill up
