Minty froze in shock and pain as she watched Rain crumble in front of her very own eyes. There was no time to think and she decided to run quickly, sprinting away from her brother's dead body. She glanced backwards and saw Cherry chasing after her, motivating her to run faster, trying to get as much distance between herself and the deadly she-cat. Up ahead, she can spot a small cave and squeezes into a crevasse, panting, still in shock, and she collapses onto the cold hard floor of the dark cave. She perked her ears up trying to listen to Cherry’s footsteps. Nothing. She stays still, just in case Cherry was above her and could possibly still be searching. Silence.
