Linklike what do u guys do? bc im trying but i also wonder how others make personas, like it seems easier for them? maybe im over doing/thinking it, or taking it to literally. bc im literally searching up animals and seeing if i their personality relates to mine. and trying to figure out how to somehow put MYSELF into a character and have it feel right :/

Linkwas thinking smth like two characters, one lighter and one drker(color and personality wise) and i was thinking either they are one, and invert themselves to show the other version. or the darker one lives in the ligher one. and the idea above is how it shows orr it just comes out of the lighter one. and another idea is they both exist. and the darker one kinda bullies the lighter one but they still do get along bc, uhh, theyre and still somewhat attached?

some animal-like/hybrid of animals that represents me, interests, hobbies, personality(kinda), and all. more neutral colors or foresty, and soft(?) looking. crafty, calm looking, nice, idk
buutuut like i have a bunch of things id like to include into it and dont know how to mix them into one :/

Linkgonna draw ideas on paper till it feels right ig😔 orr i might just use theo as a persona, tho i use he/they for him, and i use she/they pronouns for myself sooo idk?
i think artists make it to what they want to represent themsleves as or see themselves as
honestly, just do what's comofrtable and fun for you, brainstorm and sketch out some ideas that dont stress you out its for you and represents you
ummm something i did is look at others for example, i also got mine from a random post on insta and i thouight, "yeah, that's me"
a persona is something that you just draw often, like your character with green hair, that is your current persona. But you can change it too. like i draw my curly haired oc often, which is based off of me

to me it feels like ur persona picks u instead of the other way around. every time i tried creating a persona for myself for the purpose of being a persona, it never stuck, but my current persona of a few years i from a character trade on here. he slowly evolved into being more 'me', to the point he's not even recognizable as the character he started out as, and i didnt even mean for that to happen LMAO
It just comes naturally…
…for example my current persona is a small body, big head and big eyes tiefling that’s very simple to draw, at first i just drew it in my baldurs gate posts because my character was that, a tiefling wearing armor, and the super simplified version of that was a small humanoid thing, and of course I don’t draw the armor, I just draw the shoulder pads and the cape because that’s enough to be understood it’s supposed to be armor, later on, I would keep drawing it even outside baldurs gate related posts and basically turned into a persona
Im so sorry for the long paragraph ksnenxn, the summary is that my technique was taking something I would draw often and declared it “okay this is my persona now because it’s easy to do and I actually draw it a lot”
