Linkthe developers probably did that on purpose cos if you did defeat eggman it wouldnt really make sense and it would probably make the game freak out too
I mean there are sometimes where the developers make the hit count impossible to do which in this case is 2031 hits, probably to make it so that it’s impossible to beat them in a cutscene
