LinkA) the last thing you remember was your ship being boarded by pirates. it was being blown to splinters and you were flown overboard. waking up, you cough out the water in your lungs. after getting your barings,you realize your below deck. laying in a hammock, you look around. from the cargo of riches. you assumed it was a cargo ship. but, the whale skull hanging above you. panicked you fall out of the hammock, bones aching. you heard footsteps approach you, to see a sweet old man with a cane, offering a hand to help you up.

LinkB) You've heard of the butcher and it's captain. but most say it was a myth, you decide to pursue and find the ship. it is said to hold riches of gold and jewels in its lower deck. its been a month, when you finally spot the ship in the dead of night. it was docked at an island, a trading post. the boat docked, everyone split up to find them. you alone walked into the bar and saw the captain, surrounded with her men at a table.

+Kaylie groaned in pain, and blinked all of the stars out of her eyes. She slowly sat up and held her head in pain.+ "Dammit.."
The old man smiled. "you need help up dear? can I get you some soup?"

Tabio looked up and the man and got startled by him,scooting away in fear
the old man paused, smiling. he adjusted his glasses. "sorry, did I startle you? I really didn't mean to. would you like some soup?"
He took a few breaths to calm himself down and stood up,keeping a distance away from the man"..."
the old man smiled, going a little ways away to grab a bowl of soup. he just seemed like a pleasant old man.
the old man came over with the bowl of soup, "they call me crooks, your on the butcher, and i would ask you that same question."
He backed away from the man"why am i here?what are you gonna do to me?"
crooks nodded, setting the bowl of soup down on a cargo crate. "do not panic, we found you stranded on some drift wood. were taking you to the nearest port to drop you off."
"That's it?nothing else?you wont torture me and throw me overboard to the sharks?"he backed up against a wall
crooks paused, seeming confused. "why.. would we? we aren't heartless for pirates. would you like me to bring the captain?"
"NO PLEASE!!i'm sorry i didn't mean to offend you!"he broke into sweat and his breathing quickened
he seemed worried, walking away and coming back with a blanket. "we mean you no harm, even a old man such as myself can't hurt you."
He was taking deep breathes to try and calm himself down but was still pressed up against the wall"..."
he walked over, laying the blanket around him. "if you need anything, yell or come up on deck. okay?"
he smiled, walking away and up above deck. leaving the hot bowl of soup on the cargo box.
He waited a bit before walking over to the soup and hesitantly eating it
it was seasoned perfectly with spices such as rosemary. pieces of beef in the soup along with some carrots and other veggies.
after a couple minutes a pair of twins came down, looking for something. They seemed a lot younger than crooks. They just seemed to laugh and sing a shanty of sorts.
