Torn between the two he accidentally hits both of them with the ray that turns people into dolls which made the dolls come to life, While the dolls were fighting over him they accidentally knocked him out of the top story window

While hes falling he realizes some things and feels deep regret towards a number of things, When Darkwing finally got to the ground he (And the police) realized he was nowhere to be found
