When we invalidate someone's gender, mistreat same-sex couples, or fight against inclusive policies, that's opression. Big difference. Discrimination simply for gender identity, sexualities, or anything that isn't solely based upon a valid reason, to which there is none, it isn't okay. This needs to stop. the LGBTQ+ community is a group, because we're all fighting, risking our lives, for one thing. Our rights. So to go around, saying we aren't valid, we aren't human beings, that's just cruel. We go through so much of that all the time, for people to ignore our preferred gender identity and preferred names, for people to rub their 'reasons' to discriminate us in our faces, it's downright disrespectful, and it needs to stop. It isn't okay. If you have nothing nice to say about the LGBTQ+ community, maybe just don't speak about it at all, please. We don't want to hear it.

Okay, here’s my take as someone in the community:
Your allowed to not support, you allowed to think it’s wrong, what your not allowed to do is Harass people about it, be obnoxious about it. Use pronouns or names that aren’t preferred or overall be a jerk.
It’s fine to state it’s not something you believe in for whatever reason
But Your not allowed to be a b*tch about it
