I was outside, the stars glittering brightly. The smell of pine and dew wafted into my nose. The others, Carnival and Twilight, were asleep in the house. The trees in the forest creaked as the breeze gusted between them. I found a small boulder and sat on it, my bushy lime tail curling around my paws. The wolves sang their melodious song in the distance. I was thinking about the next day of school, my thoughts swarming with anxiety. See, there's supposed to be this photography contest that I want to join. I would take random photos of random objects. Carnival and Twilight really liked these photos and told me to join the photography contest, so I did. The prize was $250 and a professional's camera set. I was still sitting on the boulder when I spotted a pair of eyes glint in the moonlight. I let out a snarl. "Get away or believe me, I will shoot you!" I shouted threateningly, not meaning a thing I said.

"**** off!" The creature yelled back. I heard the creature running toward me. I tried to run back into the house to get help when the creature leapt on top of me. My nose smashed into the dirt, breaking it. I tried to scream but the creature was burying my muzzle into the dirt. I was trying to escape the creature's grasp. The creature started raking thorns through my back. I tried to scream but no noise came out. I felt my blood pour out from my back. The creature laughed hysterically and maliciously. "You will never see the light of day again, Farah." The creature whispered before I felt something stab into my neck.
