THANK YOU I’m making it to celebrate 200 followers on my Pinterest. I asked my followers if they wanted me to do anything for it and so far I’ve had requests to draw II’s new mask and II with Vessel, so I’m doing both in one drawing. I’ll probably also draw a separate drawing of II too because they were requested by different people

Well I mean I didn’t really do anything. I just kept posting my art work and eventually one of them blew up. Pinterest algorithm works differently though. You could post an image and it could start getting real attraction months later. Plus, posts aren’t boosted by likes or comments, only saves. There’s also less of a following culture on Pinterest, so the ratio of how popular your account is always off to you follower account. Case in point: The fact I have 195.5k monthly viewers but only 200 followers 😭💔 but some of my moots on there only have 1,000 followers but millions of monthly viewers

A tip I guess would to be use hashtags and also interact with people who are active on Pinterest. I did that and now I have a bunch of friends on there who are like my little minions. Every time I post something they come rushing to like it and save it to their sleep token boards it’s quite silly. Of course I do the same for them too 🦀

I also get followers from comment sections I think, because some of my followers don’t even have boards relating to anything I post (yes, I stalk every account that follows me because I’m nosey). So also just being a Pinterest warrior and commenting on people’s posts can help I guess

But also I’ve had my Pinterest account for ages, I only started posting end of last year and only really started gaining followers when I posted some of my art. My first pin to blow up was one of my transformers ocs which I was shy to post but now it’s actually one of the top results when you search up transformers oc on there so let this be a lesson of courage
