Rustypaw looked down at me from afar. I could feel his heart beating as fast as ever even though it felt like we were a mile away from each other. The noise and flames around us canceled out for a moment. His golden yellow eyes shone brightly in the light of flames. I cried out to him, "Don't do it! This is dumb!" "This is my destiny.." I remember his voice as he said it in my ear months ago, "My destiny is fire.." I knew what he meant now. His destiny was to die for the Pack... But I couldn't bear that. There was so much more I wanted to do with him, but it was already too late. With one last pounce, the branch Rustypaw stood on broke as a bright flash of lightning-sparked from his pelt. He and Teakfur fell quickly to the flames below. It was over... I rushed over to the flames. I knew I couldn't catch him, he was heading right into a huge bowl of fire, but I didn't care. I coughed and gagged as smoke entered my lungs, "Rustypaw!" I cried out, "Rustypaw!!" I yelled out again. My vision began failing m
