LinkWhy is it so forced? If your gonna force me to do something, I DON'T WANNA DO IT. I've been forced to do it by my art teacher, who also allows no creative freedom. How do you expect me to improve if I hate you?

Link'I'm not good at realism, by the way. In fact, I have not improved at all.
i haven't had an art class yet but i'm scared my teacher will be like that because i know not all art teachers are like that
realism is not the problem
the problem is, you need to find your own way
maybe your own way is art, maybe it's not
That's the curse and blessing your freedom brings
And if you want to get better at art (as most of us want), than find your own way to study realism, there is countless ways
And ignore your teacher, just do it YOUR way.
I will not bother you with an explanation why one need realism to get better at art
Wow. That like.. puts everything in place. My only fear is that, I won't be able to get any real jobs because I don't know how. I'm trying, I really am, but I'm seeing no major improvements.
All I know is to keep drawing. I wanna learn, but every time I start I feel like I'm back at stage one even though I've been drawing for YEARS.
So, I don't know. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I hope I'm finding out.
