step 1: draw two circles, one at were the base of the wing will be and the other at the top curve of the wing should be.

step 2: draw a curved line between the first circle and the top circle, and then draw a half moon shaped line from the top circle

step 3: draw a few triangles without the bottom line to start making the feathers, the amount of triangles depends on how many feathers you want your wings to have.

step 4: now draw lines to connect the triangles, to form the feathers, at the base of the wing (by the first circle)leave a flat feather because that's were the wing will attach to the body.

step 5: now you draw some could like feathers on the upper wing, this step is optional, but it will add more detail and more colors to the wing with out it being sloppy.

the line art steps are entirely my personal preference, so if you don't want to follow these steps you don't have. they just are more helpful when you go to color.

step 6: just draw the main wing (the base out line) but keep the side by were the first circle was clear and empty. in the next step that space will get filled in.

step 7: now to draw the upper cloud like feathers on but unlike the sketch you will extend the feather to the side that we left open.

coloring help: its helps to color the upper feathers the same color as the base of your oc (unless your oc is human then it looks a bit weird) the two circles represent the two main joints in a bird's wing
