Chapter 4 The Surprise Heros at the Convenience Store The convenience store was only two blocks down from the Todoroki's house so it was only a ten minute walk. “Thanks to Master Shouto I have 1300¥, enough for supplies and a desk,” I said to myself as I looked in the notebook section. I walked slowly towards the right, my eyes and head still facing and looking at the notebooks. I herds someone moan right in my ear but before I could look I had already bumped into that person. “S-sorry, I should watch where I am going” I say before I look up. “Wait a second, you're that boy from U.A!” I exclaimed so honored to be breathing the same air as he is. “Izuku Midoriya is it!” I say as he looks up.

“S-sorry I should watch where I am going too. How did you know who I am” He exclaimed I laughed “I saw you and Master Shouto’s combat on television” I told him with a smile and my eyes sparkled. “Wait Master Shouto?” He looked at me confused “Oh um, Shouto Todoroki, I serve him” I said as he put his right hand in a fist onto the palm of his left hand. “I get it now!” He exclaimed. “What’s your name? Do you have a quirk?” Izuku asked “Well yes my name is Nebae Azumane, and I just found out this morning by EraserHead when I was in the hospital” I said reluctantly. “Do you know how it works?” “Well unfortunately, I don’t exactly know how it works, but I was told by EraserHead that it is very powerful, and it scares me” I said with my face down while I play with my thumbs.

“Wait a second,” he said looking like he's trying to think hard. “You’re that one surviver from the fire four blocks from here right?” He asked with excitement. “Yea, but how did you know?” I asked him, very confused. “It was on the local news last night, you had fainted then when they got you in a hospital bed carrier to get you in the ambulance you touched their hands one by one controling their movements and throwing them into the ash of the destroyed buildings” he said explaining. I looked at him in terror. “Todoroki-Kun had grabbed your arm to try and stop you but you moved his movement to where his arm went into a terrible position, then you started to control his neck in going the wrong way” He said looking straight at me in a very uncomfortable way. “Thankfully Mr. Aizawa came in time to erase your quirk and catch Todoroki-Kun” Midoriya finished explaining.

I looked at him shaking in fear of how powerful my quirk is. “Midoriya-Kun?” I asked, still looking down at my thumbs depressed. “What is it?” He replied “How did it feel when you found out you got a quirk and didn't know how powerful it was when you hurt yourself?I calmly asked. “Well it was exhilarating, the power was. But the pain hurt a lot. I thought I failed. But I saved a person that is what I was happy about. She pleaded with the school to let me join for saving her life. I got in.” He replied adding on to what I asked him. “I have never experienced my quirk yet, just the mental pain” I said staring at the 1000¥ Master Shouto gave me. “You hurt someone? Dumb question, You hurt someone you care about?” He asked “Yeah, Master Shouto. I broke his arm and almost killed him if EraserHead didn’t stop me” I said grabbing the hair tie that was around my wrist to put my hair up into a low messy bun.

“I am going to start in class 1-A tomorrow at U.A is there any particular supplies I need?” I asked Midoriya looking at the notebooks. “You’re going to be in Class 1-A?” He asked Excitedly. “All you really need is a notebook or two for writing down notes and a pencil or pen. Also be prepared for Mr.Aizawa’s teacher behavior, it’s not like his EraserHead hero behavior” He said as he laughed a little. “Thank you Midoriya” I say as I bow and give a wave goodbye heading towards the cashier.

“Hello, I have a question for you,” I said to the cashier as I put the notebooks and pens on the table. “Do you have any old small bed tables that you are going to throw away?” I ask as I count how much money I need to pay. “Yes, I have one in the back, we were planning on throwing it away-” He said until I interrupted him holding out 500¥ in front of him. “I will take it for 500¥,” I said hoping he would take it. “Ok, lemme go get it, and I will give you a small lamp that has just stopped working just in case you need it. It is fixable” he said with a smile and walking into the back room. “Here it is, it's a little small and a little rustic but it's durable. And here is the lamp, two of the copper wires inside are all messed up, but I am sure it is fixable” he said as gave him the 500¥ for the table.

How much for the notebooks and pens?” I asked, trying to calculate in my head. “That would be 600¥,” he said as I took out 600¥ from my pocket. “Thankyou for coming,” he said with a smile as I struggled to carry the desk, lamp, notebooks, and pens to the door. “Do you need help?” Midoriya asked me. “I smiled and said, I need the workout, it will be fine” I said as I tried to figure out a way to open the door. “Let me help you there,” some girl said, grabbing it before I could look up to see her. “Uraraka!” Midoriya exclaimed as I looked up to see her face. She touched my table and lamp and made them have zero gravity and easily pushed them out of the store and onto the sidewalk in the street.

“Let me walk you home, I can help you. Is it ok if Midoriya comes?” she said helping me. “Sure, I am going to the Todoroki house,” I said before introducing myself. “I am Nebae Azumane. I heard Midoriya call you Uraraka so I am guessing you are Ochako Uraraka?” I introduced myself and asked her, just to double check. “Yes, it's good to meet you” she said with a smile “I am going to be in Class 1-A at U.A tomorrow. You are in that class right?” I asked, hoping to see her again. “Yes, I can't wait to see you again!” she said as we approached the Todoroki house. “Todoroki-Kun” Midoriya said as he saw Master Shouto coming out of the front door to greet us. “Todoroki-Kun, it's good to see you,” Uraraka said with a smile while releasing the table and lamp of her quirk. “Master Shouto” I said hello by bowing.

”I ran into Midoriya and Uraraka at the convenience store and they helped me bring my stuff here” I said handing the leftover money to him. “It’s 200¥ that was left,” I said, giving it to him, but he pushed my hands back as if saying as if I should keep it. “I think I will make soba for dinner, what do you think, Master Shouto?” I said hoping he would be fine with me going to the store and buying ingredients to make some dinner. “Soba sounds fine” he said, not really caring, but deep down I know he wants it. “Is it ok if Midoriya and Uraraka stay, there will be some left over?” I asked Master Shouto. “It is fine by me, Izuku? Uraraka? Would you like to stay for dinner?” asked Master Shouto
