im starting with him because ive already mentioned him and ive drawn him

so Patchwork is actually 2 different entities technically

There is Nathan who has been imprisoned inside of this mechanical cage and he is aware of what the body that hes trapped in is doing but he isnt able to do anything about it he just has to watch

thats because Patchwork, who is the actually mechanical body, is in control and feeding off of Nathans emotions and thoughts to fuel its actions and choices

Basically these two beings are in a constant conflict over who gets to control the body and thoughts and such and Nathan isnt doing a very good jib at winning

Nathan kinda give up at some point basically letting Patchwork fully take control and do whatever it feels based off of Nathans feelings and emotions

Eventually though some of Nathans allies come along and beat the shit out of the massive mechanical rabbit and in a sense free him but not really?

Patchwork always will remain as a part of Nathan long after he managed to free himself from the body but it acts more as voice inside of his head and less as a force desperately trying to control his body

he also ends up adopting the name Patchwork as he feels its meaning suits him more now after what he had gone through and how he had to repair his own psyche from scraps of himself and the Patchwork entity

as for how he even got inside of that body is its own whole thing

it was not like he himself was trapped inside of a mechanical cage but more like his consciousness was transferred into an artificial brain inside of this robotic suit

and it was less his mind being transferred and more his very essence and soul

and as for how he even got trapped in there to begin with

Nathan was captured and experimented on by a group of crazed scavengers who called themselves "Cerberus"

Cerberus is a group of individuals who have felt that they have lost all hope in humanity and believe that reality can only worsen from here on out

theyve lost faith in things like gods and other religious figures and overall feel that they, and the rest of the world, have lost meaning in the eyes of the absolute

this group, lost of hope and meaning, choose to seek out their own salvation and savior and felt that it was their responsibility to bring a savior into this world

they believed that it was their duty to create a god

so Cerberus, being a group of scavengers, collected together all of these broken and lost parts from abandoned military and A.M.P crop ups around Lavender City (A.M.P and Lavender City will be talked about later) and they managed to use this mixture of experimental technology with the already highly advanced robotics research from the U.I.A (will mention later too) to construct a mechanical body in the image of their own god

there was just one last thing that the body needed to truly become their savior and that was the soul of someone with immense power and capabilities

Nathanial Valentina, twin brother to Patricia Valentina and one of the head scientists at A.M.P

A.M.P is an organization funded directly by the U.I.A and is used to create highly advanced military weaponry and defense unites, A.M.P is also one of the leading organizations in the world when it comes to their research of otherworldly anomalies and off planet travel

CEO of A.M.P, Patricia Valentina, is also the leading scientist when it comes to this line of reasearch

the highly advanced tech and top of the line researchers and scientists allowed A.M.P to discovers a celestial body of immense power with its radiation levels reading that of our sun while the body itself was no larger than our moon

with this information now in the hands of the U.I.A, it focused its funding directly into A.M.P issuing them the go ahead and the means to construct a viable rocket and space shuttle to reach the celestial body

years after the celestial objects discovery, the rocket had reached completion and was ready to be launched

it was estimated that, at the speed of which the rocket would be travelling, it would take about 4 to 5 on earth years for those onboard to reach their destination

those who were chosen to board the rocket would be placed into a temporary cryostasis container allowing their bodies to be preserved as their made their way through space

Patricia, or Amp as her colleagues would often call her, volunteered to be the leading scientific head in this operation allowing her space on board the rocket

along with Amp were 4 highly trained soldiers issued by the U.I.A one of which was a Mr. David Grimwald

seeing how she would be away for an extended period of time, Amp declared her brother CEO of A.M.P before her departure

With the rocket now on route to its destination, A.M.P and the U.I.A were free to push funding into other such needed areas one of which being defense

due to the rapid advancement of technology around this time, bullets and firearms began to become irrelevant and semi useless as defenses for bullets and other such high penetrating projectiles had advanced to astronomical levels

in response to this, the U.I.A once again called on to A.M.P to develop new weaponry for their armies

these weapons were to be close range and powerful, no projectiles were to be used

A.M.P began designs on many different weapon designs ranging from daggers concealed in the soldiers armor to scythes the could mow down crowds in a second

as time went on more and more soldiers were outfitted with these weapons and the world watched as the weapons that A.M.P made in a declaration of defense were used against the U.I.As enemies in an act of selfish oppression and greed for more territory and control

breaking away from the U.I.A, A.M.P lost a significant amount of its funding and employers leading to a quick decline in business and resources

soon after A.M.P was declared bankrupt and shut down for good as the U.I.A continued to use the weapons they designed in an act of merciless conquest

5 years after the rocket had launched, the U.I.A were more powerful than ever, A.M.P had been reduced to nothing but a whisper in the wind, yet Nathan still worked

he still fought his own battles, doing what he could

organizing movements and protests against the U.I.A and their misuse of their given technology

one day though, 5 years and 3 months after that rocket had launched, something strange happened to the world

a wave come over the entire planet, an electromagnetic pulse from space strong enough to shut down all electronics on a planetary level

many who were outside during this event mentioned feeling an uncontrollable wave of nausea flow through them

many people wound up in the hospital and many others were left to fend for their own when it came to the side effects

as for the U.I.A, all of the weapons issued to them by A.M.P were declared irreparable and useless the second the wave hit the earth, whatever it was that happened fried the internal electronics of the weapons absolutely destroying them

As for Nathan, who at the time of the wave was working on his own weapon inside of an abandoned A.M.P facility on the outskirts of Lavender City, the wave did not impact him in the same way it did many others

flashes of his sister began to bounce around his mind, thoughts and visions of a world beyond his own

these thoughts grew and grew and pounded his head with such a pain that it was uncontrollable

Nathan fell to his knees, reaching out for the weapon that he had been working on

the weapons crooked handle was barley finished and its blade just a shell of what it would have been, yet in that instant whatever had implanted itself withing Nathans body, his soul, transferred a part of itself from him to the weapon

in what seemed like just an instant the weapons blade ignited in a red, almost fire like, glow

the surface of the blade resembled that of shattered glass yet somehow repaired and reforged into a weapon

the pain in his head now subsided, Nathan stood up and grabbed the scythe by its handle, pieces of the pitch black shell separating allowing a deep internal red glow to spill through the cracks

Nathan was unsure of what had just happened, unaware of the fate that had just been chosen for him, but he couldn't care at that moment

he couldn't comprehend what had happened yet his mind was too scrambled to truly care, all he wished to do in that moment was hunt down and stop those who hurt for fun, enjoyment

Nathans soul had now been connected to a series of strings, threads connecting the very molecules around him

his soul had been bound to reality and to time, the power he would wield was unbeknown to him at this time but eventually others would learn of such capability, such power

Cerberus would seek out Nathan in a desperate wish to harvest his soul and use it as a basis to build up their newborn god

little did they know of the wrath and anger that would come with that

upon Patchworks awakening he grabbed his scythe and harvested those who had come to worship his birth their blood staining the thin fabric that covered the broken machines body

so yeah that's kind how Patchwork came to be sort of

my characters all live very long happy lives with their families and friends and they all have a very very happy ending trust me

but like theres Amp, David (shard), Dave, Eden, Mathias, Blackout, Flame, Eclipse, Nexus, Geo (NOT ME I AM NOT GEO I AM BRIDGET GEO IS A CHARACTER), Pop, Plague, Eternity, Nihil, Fate, Ace, Apophis, Tempest, Striker, The Hound, The Truth, Rose, and so so so many more along with many many factions and corporations such as Chaos Command, The Corporation, Lavender, Storm Striker, Cerberus (but better) and even more that are still being developed like ARGAGRGHRGAGR

this is where all my brain power goes, not school, this

also like 90% of these characters die

i think i may talk about Amp next? at least her origins because shes the main character and she goes through it all so i dont wanna be here forever
