Okay so I often find many many people do not understand xenopronouns which totally makes sense! I understand why someone would be confused. But I don't think it is okay to judge people or make decisions about it if you don't understand it. So I'm going to talk about it!

A lot of the time, xenopronouns are used by neurodivergent people. They might feel like none of the pronouns "available" fit their identity as many pronouns come with an associated gender. Such as he/him for men or she/her for women. Sometimes it just doesn't fit. And I can tell you this firsthand!!! I still go by he/him but I also go by star/stars, which are xenopronouns. An argument I see a lot is that the pronouns should just be a nickname. See, I wouldn't consider myself to be named "star". My name is finn or cable! It's the same thing with common pronouns too! Your name isn't 'His' or 'She'. Even if you personally think the xenopronoun would fit better as a name/nickname, people like me don't see it that way. A lot of neurodivergent people often find that their gender doesn't conform with the "standard" ones on earth, which leads to things like identifying as stargender like me. I know it's confusing and maybe a bit weird but you shouldn't be disrespectful to others because of it.

If you still think it's stupid and won't use them on people, I can't stop you. Just know we want to be treated with the same respect as everyone else and we are still people.
