The ending of this animation is the result of all of Jax's friends and family being killed. First his blood relative (Lexy / Lily) then his girlfriend (Lia) and continuing after Lexy / Lily's death, even he dies countless times. Only to find himself a former, broken, and suffering version of himself. Yet, after everything is fixed, and everyone's alive again, he still suffers the trauma of his past and takes years of Therapy to get rid of these awful memories.
