Nothing makes sense??? I work so hard on what I'm good at to earn at least a little attention or praise for my "talent" but it's just wrong, it's bad, it's gross, not what people want, etc etc etc..
There's tons of biblical gore.
John's head on a platter, Jesus nailed to a cross, etc.
I get what you mean, though. Religion doesn't like you for you, it wants you to become their idea of a model citizen. And the people around you try to enforce it because they know what's best, according to their opinions which just so happen to be the ones forced down their throats as children.
And you want to be yourself, but you don't want the stigmatization that comes with it
It's hard to deal with. I don't have any good answers, but know that you aren't alone in this, not matter how much it feels like you are.
