It has been nearly twenty-one years since I left the house of my parents. I indeed discontinued all contact with them, but I needed to prove that even if I was homosexual that I was not disturbed about my choice. Recently the Germans have been taking the Jewish and pretending it is for the security of others, but I have discovered that it is not true. A large group including myself are very against these acts of prejudice. Today I plan to meet with my colleagues ~~~~

I walked into an old tavern and I took my spot at the counter, while acknowledging fellow activists. Suddenly my friend Frieda Belinfante waltzed toward me. "Why hello," said Frieda. "How do you do?" I asked. "very well thank you, and you?" "Why, I have to say I am similar to you, just fraught" "Oh and why is that?" "well Jan, left me to my lonesome last week, claiming this cause was too frightening for him to handle, a complete Bum rap." "why in good heavens would he snap his cap?" "you couldn't have said it better." "Say, do you happen to know why we were called down here at such a time?" "I suppose I do" "Could it be possible to tell me?" "When everybody arrives they shall tell you, well frankly everyone but that doesn't matter all that much."

After a half-hour, the room began to swell with people. I knew what was going to happen in the following weeks, but I still need to know the essential fundamentals of how the task would be performed. soon the chairman stepped into the room clutching onto a folder of papers like it was his money and he was walking down the crime-ridden areas of Amsterdam. I took a deep breath in through my mouth and adjust my sitting position so I could see better, I was up at the highest point someone could sit, so I was doing good. "Good afternoon," Said the man " I have gathered you all on this fine afternoon to address another course action that needs to be taken to stall the nazi's"

"As I'm sure you know the nazi's order to capture the Jewish and eliminate those with a fraudulent identification" "So we plan to sear the Amsterdam registry building were false papers could be checked, we will do so on March 27" The room was eerily still as he continued. "Any questions my dear friends?" ~~~~~~~

March 27, 1943 I fixed my tie on my police uniform and continued to walk in determination as the registry building came into view. I felt the flasks full of benzene in my pocket, and I stared at the security guards in the eyes. When we reached the building we were halted by the security watchmen. "What's your business here sir?" one of the sentries asked "Well, there has been a tip that this building has been littered with explosives and we must clarify if that is a false accusation or not"

The guards looked at each other and stepped aside. "step right on in sir," one of the men said. "Thank you, my good sir," I said in acknowledgment. We walked in through the doors and the four people in the back seized the guards and injected them. "Alright let's begin our work" We soon began hurling records out of the cabinets. We had to be careful because benzene evaporates quickly. We hurriedly left the building.

April 1, 1943 "Leave me be!" I shouted at the devils who grabbed me by both of my arms. They just laughed. "Ye damn homos shouldn't even be able ta talk," said one of the Gestapo men. "That's where you are wrong you lelijke Klootzak" One of the men slapped me in the back of my neck, spewing german slurs. "Get in boing to fight back but then one of the men hit me with his gun and all went black.

I woke up inside of a grimy and shameful smelling room. The odor mingled with the smell of burning bodies and sickness, causing me to practically blow pieces. It was dimly lit by the various miniature holes in the walls. I looked down to establish that I had limbs remaining on my body. From my knowledge, everything was where it was supposed to be, but something new had appeared on the breast of my shirt, a pink triangle. I tried to fight back a shudder of fear and disgust, but it crept up my spine anyways. A man walked in and asked about who helped burn down the registry building.

They threatened me and beat me, but I didn't say anything. From what I collected the firefighters also supported by causing severe water damage to some of the surviving records. When I wouldn't budge after hours of torture they said that if I did not aid them in the capture of my compatriots then they would execute me. To which I replied with an evergrowing smile. "so be it!"
