if x then it would be 2(7x+5) = -2 (-7x -5) distribute the 2 on each side (multiply by the parentasis) 14x+10 = 14x+10 now you gotta get the x on one side only by combining whats simmalar by inverse operations. Ill be using (L) and (R) to tell you which way which number is coming from where. (L is for the left side numbers and Ris for the right side nimbers) 14x+10 = 14x+10 -10(L) -14x(R) -14x(R) -10(L) then it would be 0=0
