okay so the other day i saw a poster w/ gender symbols on it next to 'woman' and 'man'. it wasnt an lgbtq+ thing, just a normal ass poster for a history class. The male one was colored in a reddish-pink, the woman one was colored in a light sky blue. I pointed out that it was a little odd of the person who colored it in had the colors switched, like men with pink and women with blue. I simply said, "oh thats kinda weird," And my friend gets mad as crap, like, "OOOOH so women need pink and men need blue!! I SEEEEEE," and i was like, "o-oh no i didnt mean it like that augh" and she KEEPS YELLING AAAH and so my other friend joins in, agreeing im apparently.. sexist??? I explained to them it was just slightly out of the ordinary, like, if you look up 'gender symbols' it always has women with pink and men with blue. i never said that women needed to like pink, even though that's apparently how they took it?? aah what ok so am i sexist or like rude for this??? or am i right???
