Soon Ziku headed into the colorful tent. Inside were dozens of bleachers that were being filled by people of all ages. Ziku sat up at the very top. She didn't like being seen by people. Being stared at was something she would do anything to stop. The lights shut off, soft violin music played. You couldn't even see your hand in front of you. It was as if it was midnight. Not even the sun's light shined through the tent's walls. The only thing Ziku could see was the faint glow of Yuro's white eyes. It sent shivers down her spine. Ziku got a bad feeling and stood up to leave. Right as she stood up, a voice boomed throughout the tent. "Welcome, welcome! One and all! To the big and small! It's time to see the greatest clown of them all! Please give a warm welcome to your favorite colorful clown. Please give a warm welcome to the greatest clown of them all!" Suddenly the lights shot on.

A woman stood in the middle of the arena. Something about her seemed familiar though Ziku couldn't tell what. The woman had her arms in the air. She was soaking in all the praise and glory the crowd threw at her. The crowd screamed and yelled in excitement. She seemed like an ordinary clown to her. The woman was tall. She had to be at least 6'0 ft or taller. Long brown pigtails hung down to her hips, colored in pink and blue. She wore a pink silk shirt with sleeves that went down to her elbows, blue shorts with a yellow flounce that seemed to be transparent at the bottom, and pink high heel boots that matched the color of her shirt, and two cotton bracelets on her wrists followed by a cotton necklace that wrapped around her neck. What stood out to Ziku was her bright smile. Her teeth were sharp like an animal's. The woman made a microphone appear in her hands just by turning her wrist. As if it was in her sleeve. She proceeded to perform multiple tricks.

The crowd screamed in glory at every single one. Then everyone went silent. All screams stopped at the same time. The woman had her hand up. "Now for this next trick, I will need an assistant," She spoke. Her voice seemed so familiar it gave Ziku an unsettling feeling. Suddenly the crowd screamed.

"Me! Me! Me!" Everyone shouted as they all raised their hands. Ziku seemed to be the only one who wasn't excited. The woman had an exaggerated surprised expression. "How can I choose between all of you?" She said sympathetically. She looked at the whole crowd again and made eye contact with Ziku. "You! With the hair of fire!" The woman said, pointing at Ziku. "No, no, pick someone else. I don't want to be-" Ziku said before being cut off by someone pushing her down a step. Suddenly dozens of people were shoving her into the arena. One last push sent her in, almost falling over. The woman walked over to Ziku, giving her a sinister grin. "Chose someone else. I'm not one to do this kind of stuff." Ziku said as she backed up. "Hold this, my dear girl!" She said, giving Ziku a box of matches. Ziku had given up and held the box in her hand. "Take out a match and strike it!" Ziku reluctantly struck a match against the box. She figured that she couldn't get out of this now, with everyone watching.

Suddenly all she could see was flames. To the crowd's eye, Ziku was ablaze. Ziku didn't feel any pain or heat. Ziku felt a cold hand grab her arm and tug her under some bleachers without being seen. It was the man from before. He wasn't on stilts, though he still seemed tall. They both watched as another woman walked up into the flames. Then the blaze went out. The woman started playing a dramatic tune on what seemed to be a violin. The man wasn't next to her anymore. The man reappeared on stilts jumping from an entrance on the ceiling. He landed perfectly, the lights shut off again. That gave Ziku a chance to leave. She started walking out into the arena. She stopped by bumping into someone. "What are you doing?!" A woman's voice whispered harshly at her. Before she could say anything, a cold hand grabbed the back of her neck and dragged her into a box. Ziku started to panic. She couldn't see anything. The only thing that everyone could hear was violin music.

The lights shot on again. It was still dark though Ziku could see the purple color of the walls that surrounded her. Suddenly the walls collapsed, all unfolding like a box. Suddenly Ziku was swooped up by the man on stilts. She felt like she was going to vomit. Then everything stopped. The crowd stopped speaking. No one moved. Ziku herself felt like she couldn't move. The clown woman walked in front of everyone. She took a bow making the crowd screamed again. The lady with the violin held open a door. It didn't seem to lead outside though everyone headed out that door except for the circus cast. The man opened his arms, dropping Ziku. She landed on her feet but stumbled for a moment to get her balance.

"William! Be careful with our assistant!" The clown woman said. She walked over to Ziku. "Welcome," She said with her sinister grin still planted on her face. "What was that?! That wasn't even a performance!! You almost killed me! Despite me saying I didn't want any part in your insane show!" She yelled "Sure, you did! If you didn't, why did you show up?" Ziku opened her mouth to say something, then realized how she couldn't talk about Yuro at all. "I was curious," She said reluctantly. She looked around for Yuro and even spoke to him through thoughts, no response came from him. She assumed he left from boredom or some other reason. "Curiosity is a torment, isn't it?" The woman asked, leaning into Ziku's face. "I guess?" Ziku said, backing up. "That's a weird question," The woman laughed hysterically, then held her hand out to be shaken by Ziku. "I'm Levi," Ziku hesitated to shake her hand but then shook it after being unsettled by Levi's sinister smile.

"Ziku, Ziku Hernandez," She said, "Wait isn't Levi some Jewish guy name?" "Isn't Ziku some Arabian name that means the god of snow? Hah! Doesn't make sense to me since you have hair of fire!!" She laughed hysterically once more. Ziku crossed her arms, glaring at her. "This is William, and that over there is Vivienne." She said, pointing to the man and the woman with the violin. Vivienne glared at Ziku, then entered the room the audience had exited from, closing the door behind her. "So, what do you want?" Ziku asked. "I'd like to negotiate with you. That's why you were the assistant!" She laughed once more. "What is up with you and smiling and laughing?" Ziku interrupted her laughter "Now, I'd like to negotiate your whole demon situation." Those words gave Ziku an uneasy feeling. "What demon situation?" "Your contrastic demon! Yuro! I want to take his place. You give me his place, and I give you a chance of a lifetime!!" "And that would be...?"

"Reliving your old life except having it completely brand new!! No horrible family!!" "That's not possible. You can't change the past. It's already happened." "You couldn't be more wrong!! I have the power to change the past! You have something that I could never have." "And that would be?" "The ability to go to the mindscape! Do you realize how important and rare it is to learn how to do so?" Levi asked, leaning into Ziku's face. "Not until now?" Ziku backed up. She bumped into William, who glared down at her with a sinister smile. "Look as tempting as that is, I shouldn't. I should get home." Ziku said, looking for an exit. "So, you'll decide to go and continue living your hell-ish life with that manipulative scammer?" Ziku looked at Levi with a confused expression. "You mean Yuro? How is he manipulative?"

"Don't you remember how he completely tricked you into becoming a Nastic demon? Don't you remember how he told you to slaughter your family? Don't you remember how he's made you into a fugitive? Do you even know what a contrastic demon does?" "No, he never told me." "A contrastic demon takes control of a human's mind, making them a Nastic demon. Then it takes at least three weeks to kill them off. The time depends on how easily they can kill that person." "It's been years since I became a nastic demon. Why hasn't Yuro killed me off then?" "He's used you to slaughter others. You collect souls for him in exchange for your life, simple." "How do you even know all of this? How do you know my name, my story, how do you even know Yuro?! This whole thing is insane. I'm leaving."

Ziku said, turning around. She started leaving, ignoring the chaotic laughter that came from Levi. She headed to the bleachers and went up to the very top bleacher before summoning tar on her hand. She slashed the walls of the tent, leaving the edges of the tear seemed burnt. Ziku hopped off the ledge and landed on her feet. She got a few stares from other people at the fair. She just flipped up her hood and left the fair. She had no idea what she just experienced, but Ziku knew she had to talk about it with Yuro. "She'll be back..." Levi said with a chuckle. Her chuckle turned into hysterical laughter once more. Levi and William headed to the room that Vivienne was in before. "Time to gather souls, you know what to do," She said. William chuckled and opened the door for Levi before following in behind her, locking the door once they were both inside.
