Linki had a theory where:
if deltarune is really supposed to only have 1 ending, then that means, because of the existence of the weird route, berdly either dies anyway at some point, or he's fine and our actions didn't matter
but i was so convinced that "damn, he just straight up has to die for this game to have 1 ending lol"
it would be kind of funny if berdly just died though like he's just found in the library dead and everyone else left without checking to see if he had a pulse
