When I was dropped off at a psych ward at 13 years old, this was the room I was immediately put in. There was a bed with a hard mattress and anti-suffocation blankets (which felt as if i was sleeping under a napkin.) There was a window slightly opened but not enough to reach out or really do anything. There was a door with a tiny window on it so nurses could check but never did. I was in this room, afraid and alone, for what felt like an hour or multiple. Not a great welcoming experience but it was an interesting room which I wanted to draw!
