Tbf living where I did did help me learn a lot and unlike what white people would LIKE to say I never felt really outed for being white or othered I definitely was never bullied for
Which is sad and telling because if it was the other way around that wouldn’t be true at all
I moved out to the country and I miss mobile so much the white people down here are so ignorant I can’t even talk because they think how I talk is ghetto
That shit is so aggravating because no matter of speech can be ****ing “ghetto” a language can’t be “ghetto” aave isnt ****ing ghetto
Ghetto usually means being poor or trifling atleast where I live and even then ghetto means a poor neighborhood aka how tf is a language poor or trifling that doesn’t make ****ing sense
I didnt register how big a deal it really was until I started dating my gf and she was the ONLY black girl at her school when she moved here and I never realized how awful that had to be so yeah I hate white people and yeah that's what I'm mad abt
It feels tone deaf to whine about being white in a white country and it is I can always just try to talk differently and boom no more problems for me but poc literally just have to deal with it because they will always be Black or Hispanic or Asian etc
I can learn to “fit in”
Whenever someone insults the way I talk I don’t even feel personally attacked I get upset because the people I grew up around talked like that and they aren’t ****ing ghetto
Racism is so deep rooted even if you are white- people will still find issue with you if you don’t “act” like it
even when a black person isn’t present and they aren’t mentioned in the convo white people will STILL ****ing be racist and I don’t blame poc for not wanting to be friends with white people because listen to what I’m ****ing saying
It's so stupdi cuz aave is associated with unintellectualism and yeah being "ghetto" and poor but like. Does anyone think about why people of color esp black people often have to live in low income neighborhoods. Stupid
