I swear if someone makes one poop joke- This is Mapleshade’s appearance in the Dark Forest. I like the concept from ‘The Angry River’ MAP in which the Dark Forest is a Bayou-like swamp. Considering the role Mapleshade plays corrupting young minds in later books, she’s a sort of Kelpie here! The black muddy water is constantly dripping from her fur. Another Dark Forest headcanon in here is that the Cats there spawn deathberry vines from their fatal wounds. I came up with it. I think I’ll keep using it.
