I mean don't line with the calligraphy tool and actually put some effort n and maybe you'll get more likes
Oh... So the most effort you put in is not looking into improving anatomy or even trying to shade, and still using the calligraphy tool for lining. Use the pencil or marker tool. Try to add in backgrounds. Look into how to improve at art and learn anatomy, lighting, whatever. I know it's a big undertaking and a time sink but if you really care so much about getting noticed, you have to stand out. Small kids that don't shade are a dime a dozen, so being different would entice people to click more.
Also, if art is really a passion you'll want to learn art stuff so you can be better.

Tbh I like calligraphy style brushes I use em in gimp and it gives nice solid curvy lines, very good for drawing people. I did customize the tool settings myself tho so if you want to use gimp you gotta set up the tools urself

I know art skill increases with time m8 but if you make an effort to learn you'll improve faster than stagnating and whining. At least try to shade something? That's something you can do that doesn't require master art skills.
