LinkI want to say this before I even start off this rant..
I don’t mean to insult or judge ANYBODY who has changed their pronouns, or knows / supports others who have.
Throughout this entire rant I want people to understand that this is my personal opinion and outlook on pronouns in general, and not people who use them.
I support and understand how and why it’s a thing, and I will never go against anybody who has different pronouns, no matter what.

LinkNow.. to get to the point, pronouns are overrated and are a trend, yet nobody really has noticed. Pronouns are like.. Say TikTok. Started off small, grew to be something a lot of people used cause it seemed ‘cool.’ Pronouns aren’t exactly a trend, per say, but that’s what I consider them, and I’ll explain why.
Not many people wake up one day and decide “I want to be called HE now!” They see it online, their friends start doing it, and they do it as well. Like fire spread even, it becomes more often around the world, and honestly speaking I feel like it’s a bit extra… I will admit, I’ve been called a he before, and it used to hurt my feelings, but I’ve learned to understand that’s how another person misinterpreted me as the wrong gender, and that happens! You shouldn’t take offense to being called the wrong gender at all, cause more often than not IT WAS A MISTAKE!

LinkIf you don’t feel comfortable with your current pronoun, that is and always will be okay, but you don’t have to change it completely because of that!
My entire point is… if you see other people doing stuff that you may think will highlight you more as a person, make you different, or even just more comfortable in your own skin, think for yourself for a second. Pronouns are overall pointless if you don’t have a good reason to use them. Don’t do something because it’s trendy, different and everyone else seems to be doing it. Pronouns are used for those who has some kind of insecurity within themselves, not for those who decided they just wanted to one day and went by that pronoun ‘cause they said so’

LinkAgain, all of my rants mean something in the end. I don’t criticise trends and go out for those who decide to do something different with their lives, cause I don’t control them, and I’m not that kind of person. Everytime I do one of these rants, I mean to get out to people and share my own opinion, cause every human has one or more of those, whether you agree or not.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

LinkIf you wanna go against me in the comments, I'm willing to talk it out.
Don't just unfollow cause you don't agree with me...
Would you be alright with me sharing a differing opinion on why most people who do change their pronouns do? I am not offended by your opinion and it is valid, but I feel you saying that people shouldn't change their pronouns because it makes them feel more comfortable is more of a harm than good to younger people that follow you and don't understand.
You might've misread, or I misspoke.
If it makes someone feel more comfortable to use different pronouns, that's in my opinion the best and most valid reason to change.
Now this post doesn't really go towards the youngens, but if they do come across it I want them to understand pronouns are for those who are more insecure than anything, at least that's how I see it.
I agree! I'll state my opinion too. Honestly, It doesn't really make sense when people say their pronouns (IRL) when they didn't change them, because most people don't think about that kind of stuff. ^^" It makes sense to say it if you changed your pronouns, or in a bio since people don't know how you look (most of the time.) I hope that made sense qwq kjhgyuijknbhg
