short summary of backstory because too lazy; Siimon was not born into royalty, here is why, basically his (real) parents were killed when he was like, probably 2 years old or 1 year? so he has no memory of them. he was a 'servant' at the age of 4 because this was during Frett's reign, and anyone who is orphan will either be put up for adoption or into literal slavery. basically, this is decided on the child's worth and perfections. due to Siimon being born into peasantry, he was deemed unworthy. this law was then overwritten when Edwardin gained the throne, which is now "any orphan child shall be put up for adoption; status shall not be put into play, or any sort of foolery." at the age of 7, Edwardin decided to adopt Siimon because he worked as a servant in the castle, and Eddy took pity on him and his sisters, yes he had sisters, twins to be exact.
